Highlights of my work in strategy and storytelling

  • Brochures

Managing communication projects that blend written and visual storytelling is one of my strengths. I’ve developed numerous brochures by working with designers and stakeholders to turn complex information into clear, engaging content. Most recently, I wrote Oikocredit’s strategy brochure, selected imagery, and coordinated expert and leadership input to ensure accuracy and alignment.

  • Impact and annual reports

I’ve contributed to impact and annual reports by coordinating with stakeholders, writing and editing content, selecting photos, and supporting the promotion of the reports to reach the right audiences. I enjoy coordinating, collaborating with others and crafting clear, engaging storytelling to communicate organisational achievements.

  • Interviews

Conducting interviews is one of my favourite parts of storytelling. I’ve spoken with people across countries and cultures — from those sharing lived experiences to leaders explaining the impact of their work. My passion lies in helping people share their stories and spotlight meaningful change. You can read my latest interview with Oikocredit’s Managing Director here.

  • Press releases

Writing press releases is second nature to me. I communicate key milestones with clarity and purpose to increase visibility and reach the right audiences. My focused messaging has supported stronger media coverage and improved stakeholder awareness. I also created templates and processes to ensure organisational news is shared consistently and on time. Here is an example of one of the press releases I wrote for Oikocredit.

  • Oikocredit's social media management

I managed Oikocredit’s social media channels — LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter — using them as key platforms to raise visibility, strengthen reputation and deepen engagement with diverse audiences. Each channel played a different strategic role, with LinkedIn proving the most effective for reaching priority stakeholders, which is why I’ve linked it below. You can also explore Oikocredit’s other channels via oikocredit.coop.

  • Booking.com's press page

As PR Coordinator at Booking.com, I developed and managed the company’s global press page — the central hub for corporate news, media assets, and journalist outreach. Built for clarity and consistency across 20+ markets and languages, years later its structure remains largely unchanged. While this role strengthened my communications and media-relations foundation, I redirected these skills toward supporting social-impact work.

  • Impact stories

Writing impact stories that give a human face to an organisation’s work is a skill that can make a profound difference. Through vivid, empathetic storytelling, I helped investors and supporters understand the tangible impact of their contributions, strengthening trust and encouraging continued engagement. Here is an example of one of the many impact stories I created during my time at Oikocredit.

  • News items

I’m experienced in communicating newsworthy information clearly and effectively. Writing news articles to keep internal and external stakeholders informed has been a core part of my work. Often aimed at multiple audiences, these updates maintained a consistent tone, clarity, and engagement — supporting transparency and strengthening readers’ connection to the organisation. Here’s an example of a news item I wrote.

  • Journalism

My background in journalism remains at the heart of everything I do. Before joining Oikocredit, I wrote for outlets including VICE, New Internationalist and City Metric, covering stories that explored social issues and human experiences in depth. One of my favourite pieces for VICE examines the systemic realities of bonded labour in India and the tireless legal advocate working to free survivors and restore their dignity. Here’s the story.
